Hip Nostalgia
Hip nostalgia captures the attitude, spirit, and sense of “good times” of the past and refashions it in a way that has appeal across generations.
The 3/9th lb. Burger
In the 1980s, A&W tried to compete with the immensely popular McDonald's Quarter Pounder by offering a bigger, juicier 1/3 pound burger at the same price. Unfortunately, Americans aren't so great at math. Confused consumers wrongly assumed that 1/4 was bigger than 1/3 (you know, because 4 is bigger than 3) and the whole experiment went down in history as a huge marketing fail. Forget everything you know about fractions and wrap your beautiful mind and watering mouth around the whopping A&W 3/9 lb. Burger.
Rooty The Great Root Bear
The world is online, Rooty needs to be where our fans are. We made a digital version of Rooty that is rigged for animation, ready for motion capture, Tik Tok, AR and the mEtAvErSe.
100th Anniversary
2019 Celebrated the 100th anniversary of A&W Restaurants. At the center of it sat a lovingly created coffee-table style book with a tight budget behind it. We scanned endless photos and pieces of A&W history and collected stories from franchisees and fans of the brands to commemorate the memories which are at the heart of what makes A&W special. This extensive library of assets gave us lots to work with in more standard point-of-purchase applications as well.
Cheers to 100 Years
A simple cheers to our fans for the last 100 years, and to 100 more.
Ampersand Campaign
