Randy Steward wears a lot of hats.
In his current role as Associate Creative Director at Lexington, Kentucky agency Cornett, he helps shape brands like A&W Restaurants, VisitLex, and The Summit—but he also brings his skills as an illustrator and fine artist to the job. Outside of work, he’s a painter, printmaker, and multimedia artist. And, as a Texan, he has a cowboy hat for every occasion.
Randy attended Texas State University–San Marcos, where he received his BA in Communications Design with a focus on branding and art direction. That degree sent him into an internship at McGarrah Jessee under David Kampa and Craig Crutchfield in Austin, Texas. He lived and worked in Santa Fe before moving to Lexington, where he lives with his wife, dog, snake, horse and two cats, all of whom appear in his art. His work, both in branding and beyond, is influenced by his surroundings, from the landscape of the American west to the pets he shares his home with.
An easy-going, hard-working problem-solver with a reputation for being able to successfully handle complex and difficult projects, Randy has a knack for creating bold, eye-catching designs that make people stop, look, and smile.
